Hey,
I have upgraded to Office 365 and now I cannot get your tool installed anymore. If I try to install it I get "Runtime Error (at 49:267)" "ExcelNotInstalledExplaination"

Will it work in 365 or is there a way to manually install it?

Best regards,
Christian.

I have the same problem. I hate the thought of losing this add-in; I use it all the time for testing my software's Excel output

Follow-up: I was able to copy the files from another computer, and I installed the .xlam file as an Add-In. I'm seeing inconsistent display results using Full Compare; Quick Compare seems to work better. I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it in the future or not... In Full Compare, the progress window doesn't display while the comparison is running; sometimes the windows for the compared files are reduced to just the title bar; I think there have been other problems as well.

if Windows account is User permissions, This error will appear in the installation at this time. This error occurs even if you enter the administrator's account and password. Both CMD and shell install are the same errors. Add the administrators group to the Windows account to install normally.

Microsoft changed the revision numbering of Office starting with Office 2019. I have Office 365 and it reports it is Office 2016. I am guessing in some cases, it does not report anything at all.

The add-in in located in the installation folder by default and the installer attempts to install to the correct location based on version installed. If this fails, install copying the installation folder path to the clipboard and with the check box to activate the add-in unchecked. If that works, all the files are on the computer, you can open the installation folder in Explorer (pasting the path previously copied) and double click on the .xlam file and Excel should open with the add-in installed. If it does, there are other steps to auto load the add-in like the installer tries.

add administrators group to the user account, and re-login the windows, install software is ok. Remove group permissions for administrators after installation. This is how I successfully installed it. you can try it.

    Hi,
I have O365 installed on my local machine and when I run the exe file, it spits out an error Runtime Error (at 49:267) straightaway before it even starts the installation.
Anyone else had this issue or how this can be fixed please?
    Appreciate your assistance.
    Thanks!

Try v1.40.0 I just uploaded, this should remove the error. Office versioning is weird, so it may complain that Excel is not installed and if so, refer to the help file for manual instructions.
