Not strictly SPM but would be very useful for tracking scan areas macroscopically for reference

1. Take video from SPM camera and register locations (multiple).
2. Estimate image plane from camera angle and reference markers (cf the phone tags)
3. Estimate the number of course movements required
4. Estimate the resolution possible with current optical set-up
5. Automatic control of the course positioning motors *linked project
