Simple project, if lattice sites are known therefore to get really nice supper averaged image one could sum these points/areas and create super resolution images of the orbitals or whatever else is at the lattice site. Similar for extracting imformation from very noisy Phase iamges and has been used in SEM images.
Confused by what you mean here, Rich. You want to average/sum equivalent lattice sites in the same image? Do you have a paper for the SEM stuff?
