USR is the most diverse and well-behaved of the options. It has options for aggression and consistency alongside the usual overall skill.
That said, all four types suffer from only using two lanes when racing side-by-side. While I've tried to make USR behave a bit better in three-wide situations, they will not go for these without player intervention.

Thank you for your reply. :) So, if I want to create for example a 2025 season formula 1 line-up I only need USR for all drivers and edit the driver skill in the .xml file? Or would it be better to pick all 4 robots, for example for the best drivers (Verstappen, Norris etc.) USR, for the worst drivers Simplix/Dandroid/Shadow?

You'd have a decent amount of variety already with just tweaking skill.xml files for USR. That said, don't forget to make car setups for the bots too, as there's some bot-specific parameters that control how each bot type drives that car.

Could it be that there is a bug with saving the simplix.xml in /home .speed-dreams-2? It does not seem to be saved. That's why the newly added drivers don't appear in the game, only the standard ones.
Edit: Playing on Linux, btw. :)

Since 2.4.0, driver lists like simplix.xml are dynamically generated by
inspecting the driver directories. If you want to add a new driver, you
must create a directory inside it, called after an unsigned integer
e.g.: "simplix/0/", and let the game re-scan the directories. This is
done when either starting the game or exiting the "Downloads" menu.
Do not worry if the directory (e.g.: "0/") gets silently renamed by the
game. This is done automatically in order to re-adjust the driver
indexes if drivers are added or removed.

Xavi

There're 4 robots: Simplix, Dandroid, Shadow and USR. Which of them is the most advanced/the robot with the most realistic racing behavior currently?
