I enabled a trac instance for SOMMER. All bugs and feature requests will now be handled via Trac. The old Tracker, Mailing Lists and Forums are switched off; there was no activity there, anyway.
The migration of the SOMMER repository to svn is now finally done. My previous attempt to convert the cvs repository to svn failed because one filename had non-decodable characters in it. The current cvs2svn tool reports this with a useful error message (which the old tool did not).
The CVS repository will be shut down soon.
SOMMER can now do subset selection. Yesterday I added some methods together with a nice button in the GUI that gives you a list of those data points which are closest to each unit. The result is a representative subset of all data points. Yay!
Once I manage to implement Andrew Coleman's batch-mode patches I guess we'll have a new SOMMER release. So stay tuned!
I'm getting back to hacking SOMMER again. It's been quite some time since I last committed a change to the repo - other things were capturing my attention.
Now I'm starting a new project where SOMMER will play a role, so I'm back to work :)
Cheers,
Michael
It's about time to drop that dinosaur called CVS and switch to the more comfortable SVN. I will try to keep CVS read access up for the time being. The migration is going to take place during the next few days, depending on Sourceforge's and my time resources... :) Stay tuned for news on the progress.
Cheers,
Michael
