Smb4K is an advanced network neighborhood browser and Samba share mounting utility. It is based on the KDE Frameworks, QtKeychain, Samba's client library (libsmbclient) and, optionally, the KDSoap WS-Discovery client. It scans your network neighborhood for all available workgroups, servers and shares and can mount all desired shares to your local file system. It is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, version 2 (GPL v2+). Linux, FreeBSD and its derivatives as well as NetBSD are officially supported.

The documentation for Smb4K is available online as HTML version and as PDF file. The source code is hosted at invent.kde.org. Binary packages for different distributions and architectures can be downloaded from the openSUSE Build Service.

The Smb4K project is proud to announce the immediate availability of version 4.0.4 of its advanced network neighborhood browser and Samba share mounting utility. This version fixes several bugs in the mount dialog, ports Smb4K away from a deprecated class and updates the README.md.

Smb4K 4.0.3

The Smb4K project is proud to announce the immediate availability of version 4.0.3 of its advanced network neighborhood browser and Samba share mounting utility. This version fixes a bug in the credentials manager that prevented home shares for which passwords had not yet been saved from being mounted.

Smb4K 4.0.2 released

The Smb4K project is proud to announce the immediate availability of version 4.0.2 of its advanced network neighborhood browser and Samba share mounting utility. This version fixes a regression that was introduced in Smb4K 4.0.1 where compilation would fail with Qt versions < 6.8.
