A patch for version 1.1.10, which will fix a serious security hole in all versions from 1.1.0 to 1.1.10 is now available under 'Siteman patches' in the files section. This patch fixes the security hole that allowed a hacker to register himself as a level 5 member of any Siteman site, and then do anything in the Admin CP.
To upgrade, download the file '1.1.10x_patch' under 'Siteman patches', unzip it, and upload the file users.php to the main (root) folder of your Siteman website, replacing the old users.php file.
After long wait, the comments feature for downloads and news section is finally available.
Version 1.1.6 features the HTMLarea WYSIWYG-editor for easier page editing, A new and hopefully prettier design, a feature that lets you easily add and edit items in the menu, and smaller fixes/improvements. See the project home page for info on how to upgrade.

A forum script is now ready for the Siteman package. It is not yet available for download, however, as more debugging and testing is needed. Please go to the project home page and check it out.

Several features, some of them critical, cannot be used when PHP Safe Mode is in effect. how critical it is and which features are disabled varies from server to server. On some servers, it might actually work fine with Safe Mode enabled, on others some features will be disabled, and on some servers it will not work at all if it is anebled. You are advised to turn Safe Mode off if it is enabled and you are able to turn it off if you repeatedly get error messages saying 'permission denied' or 'SAFE MODE restriction in effect'.
Some sibmitted bugfixes have been taken care of, and the project home page now features an article about how to upgrade the databases from earlier versions
Finally, Siteman allows you to maintain members accounts.

Version 1.0.5, released on the 15. june 2003, features advanced statistics that logs information about refering websites, the visitors' OS, Browser, OS language, country of origin and screen resolution, visits per date and visits per time of day.
Upgrading from both versions 1.0.3 (released 19. May 2003) and 1.0.4 (released 14. June 2003) can be done by uploading the files admin.php, articles.php, downloads.php, guestbook.php, index.php, news.php and stats.php in the root directory, and the files stats.txt, stat.gif and count.txt in the data folder. Also, you will need to update your HTML wrappers, refer to the 'edit HTML-wrappers' in admin.php to see the actual changes.
this is a simple upgrade. If you have version 1.0.3 (released on the 19. May 2003) and have now downloaded 1.0.4 (released on the 14. June 2003) just delete all your articles (important!) and upload just admin.php and articles.php.
The new release, 1.0.4, features a rewritten articles function, an ability to clear the stats in the stats section, and a 'code highlight' function, which allows you to syntax highlight the PHP code in your pages/scripts.
A new feature, articles, has been added in version 1.0.3, released on the 18th of May, 2003. The articles are grouped into categories.
New version is now released. The new version features a donwloads page and more advanced stats, along with some bugfixes concerning the date/time printing and the guestbook posting
In the first version, 1.0.0, the user was not able to use PHP-code within his/her pages. That would be a shame, since the user has got to have a host who supports PHP in order to use Siteman. From version 1.0.1, users may now use PHP-code in their pages without problems. The only limitations is that the header functions, header() and setcookie(), will not work.
Finally, after weeks, hours and late nights of scripting, Siteman 1.0.0 is here, ready for launch.
