Sharehound is an open source (BSD license) network file systems indexer and fulltext searcher with Web-based UI. Currently supports SMB file shares (i.e. MS Windows-based network shares) and FTP. Search results are also available as RSS feeds.

* [1450010] search: moved sorting/paging to Lucene side. This does seem to consume much less memory. No-sorting
mode became pretty fast. Sorting seem to became of nearly the same speed on slower and huge resultsets which is
rather slow for the former but fast for the later.

This release introduces the RSS interface to search results, the feature I decided to develop this application for.. Well, one of those features, actually. The FTP indexing is also one of the primary goals, and it's still not there - hopefully temporary, stay tuned..... read more
