Ok, moving to 0.7.2 and decided to clean up some of the source files a bit, put more comments in that made sense, etc.
Fonts can now be chosen for the application from the File->Font on the main menu. It might help in some situations, especially those with 640x480, or where the default is not readable.
Skill editing is kinda broken.... I'm putting in bold and italic font support for the description texts. I'll have it cleaned up soon and release it as 0.7.3... I'll also release a tarball of that.... read more
Ick, the bugs are piling on quick.
Most notably, I commented out the HTML help code, since I'm waiting on a fix for it
on Linux. If you are using Windows, just uncomment it and re-package it.
Please, DO NOT COMPLAIN if you are not using the latest CVS version!! It will solve most
of the problems and give you added features. I just don't have time to re-tar everything
That's why I use CVS. If you need instructions, go to the CVS repository page and it
has instructions.
If you need help using CVS or any other feature, please email me.... read more
I probably should've named it 0.6.2, oh well.
DO NOT USE THE BRAND NEW TCLKIT. It breaks the datafile beyond repair. I had to completely rework the entire database because I forgot to keep a backup.
Anywayz, use the slightly older Aprilish version of tclkit. It seems to work perfectly on Win... I will try it on Linux tonight see what happens. Sorry for any problems this might have caused.
Check it out! We have a new webmaster, ShadowX18, so if you have any thoughts about the new website, let him know!
I will make a tarball of this version for people who need it. WARNING: This version requires the most recent version of Tclkit in order to work. It will crash with previous versions.
This release avoids the "rollback bug" in the new Tclkit, but this feature will be put back in once JCW gets that part fixed.
The datafile.dat has been corrupted by the new TclKit version, luckily CVS has the old one, and you can get it there. You may have to roll back to an eariler version of TclKit in order to use the program for now, until JCW fixes the current version.
(development will be affected)
Ok. Version 0.5.0 is in CVS and development is beginning again.

Unfortunately I barely have time to post this and copy it to the list.
I've been busy lately and therefore no updates. It will be at least a week or two before I have more time on my hands.

CVS now contains what is ostensibly 0.4.1 This means that all those nifty skill calculations are back in place and it will again correctly add up all of your bonuses.
Yay for the good guys.

Rtkmaster section now is in CVS. Wowzerz.
I had totally forgot to do this before. Makes it easier for people to see where I am at in development.

This is the infamous and long-awaited (by me) Mk4tcl version of the program.
Don't worry all those cool features will be back in force soon.
Luckily, this also means, you can grab the TclKit package from the MetaKit project (also here on sourceforge) and use that to run the program on windows without even installing Tcl/Tk.
What a bargain!

ver 0.3.2 is now available and contains quite a bit more functionality. I still have to code in the rest of the Body dev and PP dev. Also, I need to add Spell List and Weapon Category sections . I've put this off because of complications with those Categories. I will be implementing Development Cost system eventually, but right now it can be used to track a character.

This is the first really useful release from this project. You can actually use this to calculate all the bonuses for the standard progression skills and all of the stat and race bonuses.
I have yet to add facility to handle the "special" skills like Body Development.
That is in the works as we speak.

Ok, so I released the Tcl/Tk version. So shoot me. I'm gonna stick with it until I get all the bugs ironed out of that version and then resume trying to port this pathetic project to GTK+
morgoth
The Tcl/Tk version of the program (used for prototyping) has made significant progress and I believe I have worked out some of the conceptual problems I had previously. Hopefully this will transfer easily to the GTK+ version. In short, a file format has been determined for race and profession entries as well as an enhanced and more detailed version of the skill category files.

Well, there has been a slight increase in interest in the project so we are adding Robin Cook to the team. Hopefully this will decrease development time and get a really *usable* product out sooner.
Anyone else interested please get on the list rmaster-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
