RippleOPB / News: Recent posts

This is the complete version of the data model. We will be editing it further but need to refocus on some reference implementations for now (which will inspire many of the changes).

Join us 13 July 2004, in the #rippleopb channel to discuss the RippleOPB Roadmap. Starting at 18:00 Pacific Daylight Time. We hope to have a completed version of the data model so we can discuss next steps.

We are focused on making RippleOPB available to as many different databases as possible. However, we do have our biases and PostgreSQL is an obvious choice. Looks like PostgreSQL support is only going to get better.

There is now a partially complete model.xml which contains many of the key tables. Along with this we have model2pg.xsl which can be used to perform a xsl transform and creates PostgreSQL syntax to create this set of tables. We are probably a few more days from getting all the tables into the xml file. Feel free to subscribe to watch the progress...
