i have new Replay TV 5040 and 5080 systems.. they
don't communicate with 4000 series at this point, nor
with Replay PC. when do you think you will be able to
add support for the new Replay series devices to Replay
PC?
I have used the linux version of ReplayPC successful to list
and download movies from my ReplayTV 5040. The trick was to
check out what exact time was set on the ReplayTV by going
to the hidden menu (exit-exit-exit-243-zone) which has a
"toggle clock display" entry. After setting my PC clock to
almost match that (off by 10 seconds or so) the ReplayPC did
not give me those errormessages anymore.
Now the next step is to figure out what to do with a
freaking 1.6G mpeg2 which when I play it in mplayer looks
twice as long as it is wide. I probably will have to figure
out transcode parameters to encode it into a 400M or so DIVX
movie that is stretched horizontally...

Likewise, I have a 5040, and using ReplayPC would be killer
on this system!!! Is there any chance that it'll be supported
soon??
