using our applescript and iCal as a timer you can insert spoken word programs (e.g. news) into any stream you are listening to at moments convenient for you. in the second release we added the german hourly news of Deutschlandradio as a possible source to the 4 spoken word programs of swiss public radio drs it supports already. if you read the source, you will easily see, how you can adapt it to your needs. this is experimentalware...

We released an applescript that expects in iCal a calender called "last.drs". the events therein can have one of the names of (for the moment) 4 spoken word shows of swiss public radio drs (without any spaces): kontext, reflexe, echo der zeit, heute morgen (more to follow soon). once at their starttime, the script (if set to be executed by the alarm - see screenshot) will fade out any stream (!) you are listening to at that very moment, switch to the drs-content and - once this has ended - switch back to whatever stream you were listening to before. this is a work in progress...
