I have the same error. Occurs with both v1.03 and 1.1.96.
WinMe. I just purchased a Radeon 8500 and then started
seeing the error. Worked OK with Radeon 32MB DDR.

I get that error when changing numerous settings, but also
when trying to overclock.
Windows XP Pro. 64mb Radeon 7000.
