I just managed to create an installer package with the NSIS install system. No need to install the whole Qt stuff anymore.

Just download and install. QMapExplorer should run fine then. An uninstaller is provided as well, to keep your environment clean.

You can check out a first alpha version that works with OSM tiles. Make sure you have all Qt libs installed. See http://qt.nokia.com/ for details. I will provide an installer package later.
