alternative method for loading more data

i usually load tracks/points from gpx exports and sometimes open a second export file from a different device that covers the same timespan as the file loaded before.
in this case instead of appending the new data to the data already loaded i would like to unbind all waypoints from their tracks and display them sorted them by timestamp

Have you tried Track -> Rearrange waypoints ?
