First of all, I want to thank you for Prune. I like it a lot!

When trying to open a file via the menu in the main Prune window (version 7, build 136), the files with Swedish characters (å, ä, ö) are not visible in the dialog. I have tried both IBM-JDK 1.6.0.3 and Sun-JDK 1.6.0.11, but the bug is still there. However, when I tried the same operation in Prune 6, all files were visible. I briefly looked at the source, but unfortunately I don't know java well enough to help. I run Linux and have not tried it in Windows.

Regards,
Tomas

I think I have found details about what causes the bug.

When I ran Prune 6, I had LC_CTYPE set to sv_SE.iso8859-15. Everything worked fine. When I tried that in Prune 7, Prune did not even start (it gives the error "Exception in thread "main" java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find bundle for base name tim.prune.lang.prune-texts, locale sv_SE") so I set it to en_US.iso8859-15. That allowed Prune to start, but introduced the bug with missing files.

I have files with ä in the filename and they can be seen and loaded fine. None of that is Prune code anyway, it's just the standard java file open dialog. So certainly nothing changed between v6 and v7.
Perhaps it's the sorting by filename which is confusing? The ä characters don't appear after a, but at the end of the alphabet here, so maybe they're in the list but not where you expect? Or maybe they're being hidden by your file extension filters?
