When using "File" -> "Export GPX", the gpx file generated is invalid. I don't know if this is true in every case, but at least for some files it is.
Prune adds a desc tag to the gpx file. When it is present, one can not open the file in MapSource, send it to GpsVisualizer, and it does not validate in XML validators. If this tag is removed, the gpx validates again.
Prune version: 12.1. Build: 224

    Bug reporter here;
    If I am not mistaken, having desc directly in the gpx tag was allowed in gpx version 1.0, but is not in 1.1. If the desc tag is surrounded by a metadata tag, the file validates (by http://www.validome.org/xml/validate/ )

    I'm embarrassed to admit I've missed this bug report, sorry.
    Thanks for the very detailed description, that's really useful. The problem is that Prune sometimes creates GPX1.0 files and sometimes GPX1.1, it depends whether it's copying the source from an existing file or not (and if that original file was 1.0 or 1.1). It seems to be fixed now though, so it'll come with version 13.2.
    Sorry for the wait!
