Hello,

I am a newbie to Ubuntu 9.10 and Linux in general using it for a week now. I am trying to install the Project Open with the script of Venkat Mangudi on Ubuntu 9.10 desktop version (not server version) .

I did not know what to do when the information on an old Postgre-Version came (system did not accept enter, 'o', 'ok' or anything else). So I closed the terminal although it said there would still be a process running and I restarted my system. After restart I did not find project open in my applications, so I tried to look it up in the packaging manager. The packaging manager does not open anymore, saying: E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg -configure -a' to correct the problem. E:_cache->open()failed, please report.

What happened? What do I do now?

Thanks a lot for your help.
