Performance and Ease of Use Release

It's been over four months since the last POPsearch release. During this time I took a step back and tried to determine the future direction of POPsearch. Some of the things that were completed:

POPsearch now offers remote access to your data

If your computer maintains a connection to the Internet, you can now access your POPsearch data remotely from any computer that has a web browser.

This release also includes browser support for Opera and
Explorer.

Password Security Release

Password security is now enforced with this release. Security was added to prevent unauthorized access to your data. While
the current security isn't fool proof, it's a start. In the future I
hope to tighten up the security with the addition of secure
sockets.

Although a rebuild of everything isn't necessary, it's
recommended if your system starts producing strange results.

It's been my experience that Linux distributions that use the
clone command were causing the indexing process to lock up
under certain conditions. I feel like this has also been fixed in
this release. So people who tried to use some of the earlier
versions of POPsearch, with no success, may have good
results from this version.... read more

POPsearch alpha release.

Version 0.1.0 is now available.

It's been a tough couple of months worth of coding and testing since the last release. But I hope it's worth it, as this release contains many improvements over the last version. This release includes:
