POP3 Virus Scanner Proxy isn't maintained longer!
Use P3Scan (http://p3scan.sourceforge.net/) instead, it's the successor of POP3VScan, maintained by Jack S. Lai .

This announces the first release of POP3VScan, a small daemon which scans completely transparent all mails passing the router using Linux 2.4 Netfilter port-redirection for viruses. In addition to invoking an external scanner Kasperskies Anti Virus Daemon and Trophie are supported for high-speed scanning.
