This release adds functionality that allows existing directory structures of images to be manipulated in a single pass. When the "gather files recursively" option is enabled, PicL will include images found in subdirectories of the selected source location. This release adds functionality that makes it easier to deal with more sophisticated directory structures for images. A target directory can now be specified, allowing image files to be moved to a new location as part of the rename operation. Also, the replace string can now contain path information, derived from EXIF data if desired.
These features make it possible to rename a large group of photos and have them renamed and sorted into a directory structure by date. The directory structure will be created dynamically, as needed.... read more
This release adds a log window to PicL as well as some user interface improvements. PicL is now able to continue processing images after errors are enountered, without requiring a user to interact with a dialog box (thanks to the log window).
