Most modern games (Minecraft, Subnautica, Diablo) have a quick-use toolbar to speed up inventory item selection. While this would normally change a fundamental part of Ultima 8 (panicking to select items in inventory while under attack), it could also be disabled for those who prefer original gameplay.
