Many days passed since last release. The project is unfortunately mature enoght to not require continous attention. Some bugs still lurks and some features are missing. I did some work with 4.2 some time ago and at the moment I just working on it, which mean I shall release 4.2 soon. Please report any issues found with PDM 4.1 now, if you want to see it fixed in version 4.2
Please go upgrade if you need to make multivolume backups as version 4.0 used to 'abuse' mkisofs features sometimes.
Finally version 4.0 hits the strees. The most anticipated feature this release brings you is preliminary DVD support. Yes! Finally you would be able to burn one DVD-R instead of tons of CDs and PDM now knows how ;) See release CHANGELOG for more details. Enjoy.
As SF lacks standard pool forms, please give your ansewer in comment.
Question: Currently PDM is PHP based script. Would you prefer it to be compilable application instead?
Answers:
A: PHP script is fine for me. No need for a change
B: I don't bother. I use PDM sparringly
C: Yes, I'd like it to be compilable instead
D: I don't know
Please give your answer letter in the comments (regular comments are also welcomed). Thanks
A major update and bugfix release. However fixed bugs caused no deadly injuries, I advise you to update if you use any previous version of 3.x branch. See CHANGES
Fixes major bug (malfunction in some modes) and some tiny issues. Must-have update for 3.0 users
As usual see the CHANGELOG for closer details ;)
Public release 2.5 of PDM went out with incorrect version string, and therefore claims it is a "2.5 beta" version on each run. Since it's rather minior issue, I decided to let it be and it won't be fixed.
Frankly v2.3 is just vanilla v2.2, but working. If you fetched v2.2 it's a must-have update.
Major enchancement release:
- code spead-up ('progress' is repored less often, which - code spead-up ('progress' is repored less often, which speeds up data processing *significantly*
- script used to leave temporary CD sets if ordered to Abort after the sets had been created, but before processed
- when in burn mode, it no longer asks to burn the CD 'again' if you wished not to burn the CD at all
- added config var to control FIFO size (important for all on-the-fly burners)
- wrote some kind of documentation (check README ;-)
- modified configuration vars to be more self explanatory
