I wrote a 30 pages Word document (a Newsletter) and made a perfect PDF. There was a working Table of Content which kept working in the PDF version.
Later I realized that there was something missing on page 23. I tried to reopen the original Word Docx, but it was corrupted. Only partially corrupted, page 23 was valid and workable.
So, I thought of PDFtk. In Word, page 23, I added the missing image and converted page 23 to a PDF document. Then, with PDFtk Builder, I split my PDF file into 30 pages, replaced page 23 with the new corrected one, then joined the 30 pages into a new PDF file. Marvelous! It worked.
The only problem: the table of contents no longer works. The hyperlinks between table of contents titles and article titles no longer work.
Does anyone have an idea for me? Or tell me if the task is impossible so I will stop loosing my time.
THANKS,
Pierre Cloutier
