Sometimes sync fails with a notification error message from the sync app (PCSecrets Sync) on the device. I've not found what the problem is yet but it's normally fixed by disabling/enabling the wifi and trying again.

The problem turned out to be that the sync app needs to be started before attempting the sync operation. I guess that leaving it to Android to fire it up automatically means it doesn't get started fast enough.
