I just released the version 1.2.0 of PAScual.
It is strongly recommended to update, since this version introduces
many fixes and also very interesting new features (see below).
You just have to download the zip from:
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=217818
...and unzip it wherever you want. Easy!
These are the most relevant new features in version 1.2:
-New Parameters Wizard: This is an assistant that will make life a lot
easier for setting parameters.Try it and you will love it!... read more
The User Manual is now a bit more complete. You can access it from: http://pascual.wiki.sourceforge.net/User_Manual
I used a wiki format for the manual. If successful, I will migrate the whole PAScual web to wiki format.
Version 1.1 is available for download.
New things included:
Tao-Eldrup calculator (!)
Updated Manual ("Help-->Manual" now works)
Improved file loading (arbitrary header support in ASCII files).
Things are going fast.
Just after the release of v1.0, I started working on v1.1, which introduces many new features.
I will release it very soon, but if you cannot wait, the bleeding edge development version is in the SVN repository of the project:
http://pascual.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/pascual/trunk/
Version 1.0 is now available for download.
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=217818&package_id=262623&release_id=602020
It incorporates a few fixes that were out from the release of 0.9.9.
I started writing a user Manual.
It can be accessed from the Documentation section.
At this moment it contains only some installation instructions. I expect to be filling it soon.
I presented PAScual at the 9th International Workshop on Positron and Positronium Chemistry (PPC-9) in Wuhan.
I perceived a positive reception and many interesting questions were asked.
Now I have to work on having a manual ASAP to allow interested people to try it in an easy way.
PAScual is a data analysis suite for Positron Annihilation Lifetime Spectroscopy (PALS).
With occasion of a presentation at the PPC-9 conference, I upload the first public release of PAScual to the sourceforge repository.
This is just a snapshot of the development code at this moment, so the source code may not be too neat. But at least it should work.
A more polished version 1.0 should come before July.... read more
I just created the PAScual project in SourceFoge.
Maintaining a web page is quite a bit of work, so I am reusing the design I did for libCPIXE (http://cpixe.sourceforge.net).
The project is just starting, so if you cannot find something you want, just contact me (see details in the 'Contact' link).
