Dear Opensong Developing Team,

Thank you for this amazing software, Does the Song Editor support Unicode text?

When I try to cut and paste an Asian language song , the editor didn't take it.
The Uncode Song editor will be great.

Thank you amd God Bless
Linson

    Hi,

the editor supports unicode. I can't tell to what extent. I know we have issues with searching and sorting. Also RTL scripts most likely do not work properly. Simple unicode characters should work fine in the editor and on the presentation screen, though.
Requirements: Your operating system and the fonts you are using must support the used unicode range.

Please make sure, the characters you are pasting are indeed unicode, not some other multy byte encoding. Please also make sure the relevant fonts set in General Settings and Presentatoion Settings can show the characters needed.

I understand that this is an old thread, but for the sake of anyone who's still having the question in mind, here's my 2cents.
I've been able to use Complex (Indic) Unicode Characters in OpenSong for a very long time various Indic languages (Hindi, Malayalam etc.). I've never tried any RTL scripts or CJK. So YMMV. But for Indic, I can assure you that it works like a charm.
