Often times I like to add a blank slide in the middle of a song. If the leader tends to have an instrumental moment after the Bridge before coming back in on the Chorus I like to remove the lyrics. I know I can hit 'H' to hide the lyrics. But if I add a blank slide in the presentation order then it helps me remember. Also I will often times have one person setting up the set but another person running it. They need an indicator that the screen could go blank for a bit.
What I have been doing so far is creating a slide with a code of [S] the complete contents of which is an underscore. I picked 'S' for "selah", the break we see in various Psalms. But this means that I have to remember to add an [S] slide to many songs.
The feature request is to hard code a presentation key that means selah. That way we could add it when we needed it in the map of the song.
I realize that "s" conflicts with [S]cripture. But I find that I don't ever hit 's' to blank. If I need to do that I hit 'h' for 'hidden'. But if you are just stepping through a presentation everything works fine with the [S] slide in there.

I don't quite understand your request. What is it exactly you are requesting?
Your solution, adding a section is perfectly all right (you use [S] for "Selah", I use to do the same thing using [I] for "intermezzo" or "instrumantal". Even though I dows not conflict with an accelerator key for any other function, only those corresponding to the predefined sections can be used to directly jump to that section.
Another option is to add a slide change marker "||" to the end of the last line of the section before the instrumental moment (if the instrumental moment comes after the section) or slide change markers on two consecutive lines (if the instumental is in the middle of it).
This leaves title and subtitle on the screen, which is fine in my oppinion
The solution if the interlude was not preplanned is to either press H or go to the blank space before or after (whichever suites you).
Your request, as I understand is, is to hard code H (Hide) once again?
