Announcing the release of ORC 0.8.1. This latest version of ORC contains a few minor updates and includes the following:
* changes to the supporting help documentation and application, identifying new contact information and a new project web site.
* a new installation package, based on a multiplatform GUI installer designed to be completely cross-platform compatible (really cool technology -- ref. http://www.installjammer.com/\)
Annoncing the release of ORC 0.8.0. This latest version
of ORC now supports both a graphical front-end and console (command-line) interface. ORC has been totally redesigned to support:
* a GUI
* an embedded database
* a command-line interface
* support for managing multiple MLSs within the GUI
* Search, GetObject, GetMetadata, Login, ChangePassword,
Logout, and Action Transaction support
* Automatic Metadata updates
Well, it's been a while...however, some minor but significant changes have taken place. These changes include:
* Updates to the GetObject transaction to correct a bug related to retrieving images
* An additional mlsrcords.dat Search Type parameter -- User.
* An additional mlsrecords.dat Class parameter -- UserCLass.

\* Added a new command-line option to support the Search
Transaction's Offset parameter. The new option is defined
as follows:
-o offset indicates to the server that it should start
sending data back to the client beginning with
the record number indicated. A value of '1'
indicates the server should begin with the first
record.

The ORC is an open-source, command-line application written in Java, designed to retrieve Multiple Listing Service related data from a remote/local Real Estate Transaction Standard (RETS) compatible server. This release includes significant bug fixes, and the addition of two command-line options.
