#72 99, driver error,00,00 status: the handle is invalid

Dear Developers,

I had been using my 1541 drive on my 64-bit Windows 10 with an XA1541 cable and it was working all fine until a few days ago for some unknown reason it stopped working and started giving me "99,driver error, status: the handle is invalid" whenever I try to get the status of the drive. I reinstalled the driver with no problem. But that didn't work. I can only do "cbmctrl reset" but nothing more. So I guess nothing wrong with the cable since the computer can at least communicate with the drive. But when I try to get the status of the drive it gives me

99, driver error, 00, 00
Status: the handle is invalid

Does anyone know the cause of this problem?

I do not have any idea at the moment.

However, can you please set the debug level of the xum1541 ("set XUM1541_DEBUG=99" before running the command, retry and give the output here?

Are you using "cbmctrl status" that gives you the 99,driver error? Does any other command work, especially "cbmctrl reset" and "cbmctrl detect"?

Thank you for your reply. The problem still remains. I set the debug level before running the command. As usual, only "cbmctrl reset" works (although its kinda responding slower than usual). When I use "cbmctrl status" for the first time it gives me 99, driver error (status: the handle is invalid). After that, when I enter the same command again, it doesn't respond at all. Neither does "cbmctrl detect".
Small correction in my previous email: I'm using a XM1541 cable, not XA1541. But that doesn't really change anything I think.

By the way, I'm not sure if it helps but my configuration file looks like as follows.

[xa1541]
location=C:\WINDOWS\system32\opencbm-xa1541.dll

[plugins]
default=xa1541

It was working perfectly fine last week. I don't know what happened..
