Openbaar 0.52 is the updated GIFT (Gnu Image Finding Tool) client that provides access to Content Based Image Retrieval. You can connect to a preconfigured GIFT server. It works now on Linux and Windows. Try it out!
By using automake building Openbaar on linux has become much easier. Help for compiling Openbaar by commandline or by the now included Kdevelop project file can be found in the README. Tested on Debian and Gentoo. One threading bug still known in linux, causing Openbaar to stop after two or three screens.

With wxWidgets 2.6.1 Openbaar now starts to work on Linux. A first screenshot is available. If you want to try Openbaar from CVS on Linux, be sure to enable full opengl accelleration on your X server. On Linux, Openbaar is still beta, we hope to release a fully working Linux version soon.
