OOoLatex / News: Recent posts

This is the first beta release of OOoLatex as an extension including the binary
for latex2emf (macosx/ppc, linux/i386&ppc, windows/MSys)!

=> We need a build of latex2emf on macosx/intel !!!

System requirement :
- LaTeX
- Ghostscript
- MSys (for windows users)

To use the emf image format you have to install some Bakoma fonts and for the module Expand, also the STIXGeneral fonts.

Before the installation of the extension, remove the old OOoLatex libraries (button 'delete' form the Marco Organizer, tab Libraries)
You can easily install the extension from the Extension Manager, accessible from the menu Tools.... read more

We (three) met us last week for a dinner about OOoLatex. We decided of three main directions for future works:
* easier and platform independent compilation (via configure and make)
* easier (automated) installation of the macros (via unopkg)
* for the macros themselves, adding some configuration options and a fully functional LatexExpand macro (waiting for the always delayed Stix fonts grrr).... read more

New update of the CVS repository.

Changelog :
- new stack containing the previous commands
- the add button shows the glyph of the symbol
- replacement of the Euclid font with unicode truetype font : Code2000 font (see www.code2000.net).

The use of the unicode symbol font STIX is planed in the near future.

Hi all !

Just a word to inform you that I'm currently working on the reimplementation of the module OOoLatexInline.
In fact, I'm writing a new module to replace the old one. There will be many improvements as
- a complete rewriting of the latex code parser,
- combobox to help writing the latex commands,
- the latex code is put on a stack to be used later,
- a Calc sheet, showing all the supported commands, can be generated.

Binaries of latex2emf and libEMF for MacOSX and Linux_i386 are now available to download.

Binary for Micro$oft Windows is included in OOoLatexEmf-2005.09.19.tar.gz
