Ok, Just to let everyone know that we're now back in action after a very long break. We'll continue work updating and finishing all work to a standard of quality.
Please continue looking forward to BETA 6 :D because it's still on the cards.
Its been several months since I last performed any major changes on the program and I'm offering the project to anyone who wants it as I no longer have the time to work on it. This is afterall an open source project.. Its been a good run, but I sadly, must concentrate on my least demanding projects closer to home.
The next version of the program suite will be coded in C# 2.0 and should be slightly more compatable with Mono. This will mean that a Linux version should not be too far off.
However, Mac users will still have to rely on bootcamp at this point.
In other, related news, BETA 6 of version NWPPS 2.0, for windows is being converted into C# code and streamlined into the 3.0 release and should be available for testing very soon.... read more
BETA 6 of NW's Pokemon Program Suite 2.0 should be available soon, In addition, I am looking for a new project admin and/or director to take over the project. Let me know via the usual channels if you are interested.

BETA 5 should be available from the download page sometime within the nest 2 months.

There may be issues with this version, please report any and all issues to the bug tracker.
BETA 5 will be released shortly...
The database is being touched up, also some UI elements have been upgraded and improved.
Ability Database is almost finished, as is the berry database.
BETA 5 of the Pokemon Program Suite is coming soon, despite the loss of our database developers. I am doing most of the database work myself.
The User Interface for BETA 5 has been reworked a little and the Update checker has been improved.
Support for the Generation 4 Pokemon and support for early versions of Pokemon Platnium is coming in this release.
Several bugs have been squashed so far, with more getting squashed by the hour.... read more
The new PPS Support Forums are now online. http://nwpps2kx.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ is the address for the new forums...
This forum is a test for the time being.
Just some combined news items from the last few days.
Uploaded an old test build of version 1275, which was cancelled, to sourceforge.
The new website layout is nearly ready for upload, a few more days and it should be ready. In other news, BETA 4 is going fairly well, but I wish the progress in the database was better.
I am once again hiring database developers for the project, If you think you are up to the task, please email me. Microsoft Access 2003 is a prerequisite for this position. Successful applicants will be in charge of keeping the database updated.... read more
The current build number of BETA 4 is:
10.1276
This is to distinguish it from a previous version that I had to scrap due to an excess of problems with it.
The '9th' build was scrapped, It contained a better version of the web browser. But there were quite a few breaking bugs that could not be fixed in my timeline.
The '10th' build contains only a static webpage viewer as well as far less bugs... At least at the current time.... read more

This is a notice of the Website and Program Overhaul that commenced in December and will continue till sometime in May, the staff of NWPPS apologises for the inconvenience.
These changes are necessary in order to bring the website inline with the changes that are being made to BETA 4 of the program.
test versions of the website may be made available at some point in the future. Stay tuned for more information.... read more
Project has been upgraded to VS2008, due to massive errors associated with the VS2005 IDE that kept crashing the project.
The problem has now been rectified and we hope to get back to work shortly.
I'm considering changing the name of the project. It's a little long. I would welcome thoughts and ideas for the new name, or if you think I should keep the existing name, then feel free to tell me!
This is your chance to be heard! After all this program is being made for your benefit, not mine :)

Just a notice, some more NWPPS3 changes will be folded into NWPPS2, because I am goddamn tired of the 1275 build's constant errors and exceptions.
For BETA 4 the internal browser has been rewritten. It now supports additional functionality that was not available in previous versions of the program.
A notice to all of our users. If anyone knows where we can get back sprites on all 493 Pokemon, we would be eternally grateful.
We need both shiny and normal back-sprites.
The people who do this will be credited and may receive bonuses :)
