I needed to get some practise in website design, so jazzed the home page a bit.
I improved the Linux build instructions somewhat. See here:
http://nomadsync.sourceforge.net/linux_build_instructions.html
Finally two small, but much-requested features added:
1) You can now change multiple actions at once
2) You can now compare tracks by genre, track number and year.
If you are using latest Creative drivers, (1.26.02, released a couple of days ago), then you need NomadSync 0.3.2
Uses better algorythm to calculate track length
Tested Linux version with libnjb 1.2
*** Linux Note: This version *only* works with libnjb 1.2
(Earlier versions *only* work with libnjb 1.1)
The major new feature for this release is playlist synchronisation. It searches for Winamp playlists on your PC and comapares them to the playlists on the jukebox. It works similarly as for synchronising tracks. All differences are displayed in the grid and you have the option to download, upload, delete or leave each playlist.
Also, included are the following goodies:
* Sortable columns
Columns will now be sorted when you click on the column heading... read more
New features
You can now automatically add all downloaded tracks to a playlist of of your choice
Improved performance reading MP3 tracks on PC
You can now upload tracks to a seperate directory. Improved label matching. Now uses edit distance algorithm
Also some bug fixes
There were some bugs handling the year and track number. These are now fixed.
It now only reads ID3V1 & ID3V2 tags. Before id3lib was returning data from Music match labels and this was causing confusion.
It only writes ID3V1 tag data if there already was existing ID3V1 tag data.
Bug fix release:
Year and Track number now transfered
Preserves existing ID3 Tags when doing Label upload
New option to enable logging for diagnostics
NomadSync, the worlds first cross-platform Windows/Linux synchronisation utility for Creative Jukebox audio players now available. Hurray!
