Status Update

Anyone who has taken a look will see that there has been a lull in activity. I have been having loads of computer problems in the past few months, main systems down, backup systems going out, backups to the backups, not a pretty site. Now that I am getting things back up and running in my lab, I hope to get back to making progress on this project. Even the small number of files that have been released have already come in handy for me, I am a prisoner in the Windows world at times. I hope some of you out there have found some benefit as well, and will continue to as we make more and get better. Come back soon!

New files released!

It's been a couple weeks, and I had some trouble with the SourceForge site and uploads, but we made it and we have some good stuff for you. We have an update to the "ls" executable, and brought two new commands "cp" and "mv" for you to play with. Please keep in mind that all of these files are not even Beta ready yet, they work but have not been tested as thoroughly as they ultimately will be. Plus, not all features have been implemented yet (far from it), for example, the cp and mv commands ONLY work on single files, wildcard and recursive operations have not been added yet but hopefully soon. One more thing, for everyone's convenience, I have uploaded an archive (self extracting) as well, so you can grab all of the compiled and source files in one easy shot. So, grab the new files, play with them and enjoy. Be sure to let us know of any bugs or errors you find.

First file has been uploaded

The first command to be uploaded is "ls", because that's what I seem to be missing the most. It's not complete by any stretch, but some basics are there, and so far it's a step in the right direction. Naturally, I am my own test subject, but maybe we'll get more in the future. I have uploaded the PERL script which is the source for the compiled executable. Grab either one or both to try it out or improve it and help out. Please contact me if you have any questions!

nix32 has begun

Thanks to the wonderful resources that SourceForge makes available, the nix32 project has come out of the starting gate. I have been working on some early code and hope to post some soon, also I am working to get all of our goodies here at SF setup to serve us best. Stay tuned and come back often!
