Hi :)
Please if someone has experience with NetToPLCSim simulation:
Connection :
Step 7 Project
*
NetToPLCSim
*
Archestra - Intouch
Is it possible to run the simulation on the same operation system? I'm using VMware virtual machine.
1.1 If it's possible does someone know's the procedure:
Simatic Manager: CPU 414-3 PN/DP
In PLC sim address is :
10.110.214.64
255.255.240.0
**In PLC sim address is : **
10.110.214.64
255.255.240.0
Adapter settings:
10.110.214.64
255.255.240.0
NetToPLCSim config:
Network IP Address: 10.110.214.64
PLC Sim IP Address: 10.110.214.64
turned off Windows Firewall
Restarted VM
Started NetPLCSim like administrator.
Did I do something wrong in this configuration?
If it's not possible can someone help me with the configuration:
Can I make a copy of the VM on the same operation system with other IP settings or has to be on the other PC station?
Maybe the topic was already discused but just to understand better how to do it, if I manage to make good connection...I wanted to see how to make connection that I can simulate signals on InTouch App.
First time working with Archestra and Intouch.
Thank you!
Best regards.

I've never tested it with Step7 and Intouch on the same machine, but I would say it should work.
I'm guessing you're using the DASSidirect Server to access the data from the S7. In the DA-Server settings you need to enter as PLC IP address in your case the 10.110.214.64, and rack/slot to where the CPU is located in the rack.
For newer Step7 versions or if TIA is installed, I heard from some users that you need to start the simulation in a special order:
After PC start, before starting any Siemens application, start Nettoplcsim with admin rights and let it capture the TCP Port 102. Let Nettoplcsim in this state, with no configuration
Start Siemens Software, start Plcsim, load program into Plcsim
Configure Nettoplcsim, and start the Nettoplcsim server
Make your tests

I changed the network adapter to the address: 10.110.214.64
In the Nettoplcsim:
Network IP Address: 10.110.214.64
PLC Sim IP Address: 10.110.214.64
Is this correct?
So this address is now set to network adapter and plc sim, is this correct? I ask because I'm doing on the local machine so I don't know I don't know if it's correct to put the same address like PLC sim?
Monitoring server :
time : started monitoring server 'PLC#001' on interface 10.110.214.64
I'm using the version:
A network interface to PLCSIM.
Version: 1.2.5.0
Thank you.
Best regards.

The addresses can be the same, but it works only if the Network IP Address is available on a network adapter. In most cases you must find both IP addresses (Network ans Plcsim) when you use the browse dialog via the "..." buttons. Otherwise it's unlikely to work.
The IP address entered at "Network IP Address" must be used as address in any client software, like Intouch driver settings. If it's the same IP address as the configured S7 has, then you don't have to change the Plc address in your client software, when you change from testing with Plcsim to the real Plc.
In general it works to connect to Nettoplcsim/Plcsm when the client software runs on the same machine. But some client software don't allow connecting to localhost / Ip address where they are running on, like Siemens Simatic.Net OPC Server doesn't like it (for whatever reason).
