Activity for NAPS2 - Not Another PDF Scanner

I would like to second this request! My scanner works optimal at 360 dpi, but there is no way to achieve this with NAPS settings (except using the cumbersome native UI, which renders NAPS useless).

Yeah, that shouldn't be the case, but in the meantime Ctrl+Shift+S will save selected.

Hi, I use NAPS2 almost since forever and love it. But with the update to version 7.4.2.0 (or earlier) the behavior of saving PDF seems to have changed. Before: CTRL + S only saved the selected scans. Now: CTRL + S saves all scans into one PDF. In the Settings I already have chosen Save Selected under "Save" button default action. Is there any possibility to get the old behavior back? Thank you so much!

I would love also the ability to add custom scan resolutions to NAPS2. For cross-referencing, this ticket is a Feature Request for just that. https://sourceforge.net/p/naps2/tickets/744/

Hello, I would very much like this option also, esp to add custom resolutions suitable to one's printer. In my case (Epson XP-3100), there is a resolution of 240dpi that sits in the sweet spot between 200-300 dpi. I can use that 240dpi by using the "Use Native UI" option, but that's slower than using "Predefined settings". So please, let us add custom scan resolutions, e.g. via one of the XML config files ! ps: tested with Portable naps2 (windows) 7.4.2

There's definitely an element of network issue to this, but also some problems with NAPS2 as well. I've fixed a couple issues in 7.4.2 that may help. And I also have some plans for the next version that may make it close to fully reliable. I've also updated the doc for those options. Thanks for all the testing you've done, it's been incredibly helpful.

In your profile settings, under Advanced -> Twain Implementation, you can try selecting "Native Transfer" and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise you can try using the WIA Driver instead of TWAIN Driver, or see if Neat has a driver update that might fix the problem.

Hi I know this issue has been asked before and supposedly the newest version of NAPS2 would fix it. So I just got a neat receipt scanner and scanning in black and white with NAPS2 would invert the color (background becomes black and text becomes white). I am on the newest version of NAPS2 (7.4.1.0). Playing with brightness and contract do not help. I have attached the file and the screenshot of the setting. Please help. Thank you!

Hello Ben, I'm starting to suspect that it might be something related to the company's network, even though it works perfectly (when it works). Anyway, I reran the tests in version 7.4.1 and the problems remain, I recovered the logs from both computers again. I hope I can collaborate. In time, I believe it was necessary to add content about EsclServerCertificatePath and EsclSecurityPolicy to the documentation page for use in Organizations.

The subfolders in the recovery folder each represent a session (some of them might be old/empty). Dating is done by the windows modified date so if that's changed then it'll be out of order. You can recover them by repeatedly opening NAPS2, saving what you need and deleting what you don't, and then when you re-open again it'll find the next folder it can recover from (if any).

NAPS2 stores configuration in %APPDATA%\NAPS2. For example, if your Windows username is Way, it would be C:\Users\Way\AppData\Roaming\NAPS2. Assuming they changed it, Anyscan probably stored data in something like %APPDATA%\Anyscan. The important files to copy would be profiles.xml and config.xml.

A few things you could try: - Reinstall/update the scanner drivers - In your advanced profile settings, try different options for "Twain Implementation" - In your profile settings, try "Use native UI" (but in this case your settings won't be saved in NAPS2) Generally this looks like it's some kind of limitation with the HP driver.

You might need to set up the network connection from the HP software before it can be used with WIA or TWAIN. I'm not sure how it exactly works for HP or which software download you need but a lot of older network scanners need that first step of establishing a connection on Windows.
