1) The most commom problem pointed by users is the Updating Not going well.
If it is the case, you must perform a full uninstall and reinstall.
2) If yet it does not works, go to About Page and do a 'Clean Cache' (delete all temporary files because they may be corrupted). If yet not workes... Try rename the MyTvShowsOrganizer folder in the User's Documents and Run Program again. This will create a new one and eliminate possible corrupted files among saved data.
3) Some functions might stop working abruptly if websites, from which this app depends on, changed their layouts. If those functions are primary functions just wait 24 hours and try to do an update.
4) If Internal WebBrowser does not rendering well the TvCalendar WebPages, you must Reinstall/Update the App and run "MytvShowOrganizer.reg" (in documents\mytvshowsorganizer folder). It will Register this app to work with the latest Microsoft Browser Engine.
Notice that your saved data (in user Documents folder) will Not be erased after uninstalling.
5) How to Use Logical Operators (INCLUDE, EXCLUDE ETC) in the 'Plus' Colums to Refine your torrent Search:
(version: 2016.11.xx and greater).
If TORR (Get Torrent) function is returning undesired results, eg: because there are similar names of Tv-series, you might use, in the 'PLUS' Column, some logic operators.
Examples of use are below and must be put under the 'PLUS' Column.
hevc : must have HEVC in the description of the torrent. Any other torrent will be ignored.
-hevc : must have NOT HEVC. Only torrents that have not hevc in description will be considered.
dd5 -hevc : must have DD5 but NOT HEVC;
dd5 x265 : must have both necessarily;
dd5|6ch : must have dd5 OR 6ch. One of them must be present;
rarbg dd5|6ch -odd: RARBG must be present, DD5 OR 6CH must be present, ODD must be not present.
Real case:
You want get 'Mom' Tv-show but not 'Odd Mom Out'. If you leave PLUS column empty the app might return the wrong tv-series because the two of them has Mom in the description.
Solution: Put -odd in the correspondent PLUS column cell. Then, this will eliminate (from result) all torrents that have ODD in the description. Will rest only the Right Mom tv-show.

New version has unfortunately stopped working. Windows 10 64bit. On loading the program becomes unresponsive and you have to force close.
The Crash was Caused By a Drastic change in TVcalendar of Pogdesign WebSite. New Version 2016-05-18 is corrected the Issue. You Just need to Uninstall and Reinstall to Correct the Problem. No data will be lost.

Got it working but had to remove all the shows I had added :(
Indeed you should have deleted only the files without an extension (they are temporary and the cause of the error). The files with extension (.ini) witch contains your shows information rarely causes such error. See if you dont have a backup in the Folder (the app is programmed to save the last 7 days backups). Otherwise, this version 2016.05.18 is an emergencial version. Until weekend I am publishing another version, hopefully with no serious bugs.

I started MytvShowsOrganizer today to get my latest shows. The program threw an exception when updating the Next Episode column.
I am still able to download shows if I manually select the shows to download. The program throws an exception again when trying to update the Next Episode column again.

Thank you for developing this program, U use it to organize my shows.
One question, can I manually enter a TV show into the interface? I live in Canada and the TV Calendar does not list Canadian shows like The Amazing Race Canada, Canada's worst Driver, Nature of Things and etc.
I know the schedule so I could enter the details to start off the search. Is there a way to do this?

Answering:
-Yes you can. You just need to copy the name of the show (e.g. The Amazing Race Canada) and paste it in a free slot (using the Paste function on mouse right-click menu, not Ctrl+v). Notice, however, that you will not get some of the info such as next episode date (delivery by pogdesign tv calendar) and perhaps Status info (by tvguide.com). You, although, can use the others functions on right-click menu (upon first column) to get the missing info.
-Is important also to be sure that show exists doing a manual searching in a Torrent searcher like torrentz.eu.
-The program will try to download a new episode each 7 days from the last download, and will continue so untill you 'Reset for the Next Season' (S++E01 function on right-click menu) or put an hashtag (#) simbol over Plus column to tell the program that tv-show is in standby.

Great program that maintains my shows. Keep up the good work.
Windoze updated my system the other day with some patches. When I try to run MyTvShowOrganizer the program crashes. If I click the Next Episode button the error occurs again. The crash dialog allows for continuing or quit. When I click continue The program will not download shows. The error message is:

It seems a Corrupted temp file. Try to 'Clean Cache' function in About Button Menu. They will delete all temporary files and, hopefully, the corrupted one. If this not work, verify if the issue occurs in a specif page or in all of them. If so, try delete that problematic page (perhaps the mytvshoworganizerX.ini file is corrupted) from \documents\mytvshowsorganizer\ folder.

Yesterday when I got home I tried the program again and it crashed.
I uninstalled and then reinstalled the program and all is working again.
Next a crash happens I will clear the cache and see if that works.

First thanks for your program! Second I am clueless so I appreciate your patience. I am able to add the first episode of season how do I add the rest of the episodes for that season?

Go to utorrent program and go to Options/Preferences/General. Make sure the option 'Check association on Startup' is checked. Restart your Pc. Make sure the utorrent is the program associated with magnet links.

Hello again. I hope there is a olution.
I have a TV show called Black-ish (yes that is the spelling), but the show on all the torrent sites is simply called Blackish without the dash. When I try to get the show the program is not able to find any episodes. Season 1 and 2 had the name oif the torrents with a dash but season 3 has no dashes.
I do not want to make a manual entry is there a way to change the anme of the show that is searched in the torrent indexer?

I think a possible solution is to add the Word 'blackish' to the 'Plus' Column. The Search string will be 'Black ish blackish s0?e0?...' and, hopefully, will solve this problem.

No, no, no.... You only need to add the names of the Tv-Shows you want to follow once per Show. Then you might want to choose (enter the numbers) a Starting Season and a Starting Episode (second and third Columns). After that, the program will, automatically, increase the episode number and get all available untill the end of that season. Note that If you want the entire old season I recommend you to go at https://rarbg.to or http://www.magnetdl.com and search for it (eg. Game of Thrones season 1) to see if old episodes are still available on Internet. This program can get old episodes but is more suitable to get new episodes.

How can I get this to automatically search for new torrents?
Go to config. Check and set an hour to 'Run Every Day at' . Save . Minimizing the program will send the app to system tray and activate the timer. To turn off the timer just double-click the app icon at system tray.

I am having a bit of trouble. Microsoft rolled out an update to Windoiws 10 this week and after the update was installed MyTvShowsOrganizer can no longer start. When I start the program I get the swinging icon and after that the program seems to disappear. When I checked in Taskmanager I saw the program running but it then terminates with no dialog about the error.
I tried uninstalling and then installing but that had no effect.
What did MS change to affect MyTvShowsOrganizer?
I checked the MyTvShowsOrganizer folder under My Documents and I found two files MyTvShowsOrganizer1.ini and MyTvShowsOrganizer2.ini that are 500 MB and the other is 128 MB. This can't be right. There is also a MyTvShowsOrganizer1.undo and MyTvShowsOrganizer2.undo, but these files are a different format. How can I clean these files?

Something happened to the two files. Inside the files after the date for the last episode date one file had 128MB of the string wed. without any breaks, the other file had 500MB of Sat. all in one line and no breaks. I had to get another editor to clear the file. I wanted to cleanup the files since they had all the series that I am following. I used EditPad Lite 7 to open the files and then to delete strings of unwanted data.
All is good now.
