This project hasn't seen much activity lately, however, as of now it's being revived.
The release of version 2.5 is back on track. Although the release date is not final, it should be posted along with the source code sometime within the next two weeks. Ideally by the 23 September. Stay tuned!

A screenshot of the main window for the upcoming version 2.5 has been posted.
Version 2.5 mainly features bug fixes and a refreshed user interface. It is considered a stepping stone on the way to a completely re-written Version 3.0.

Since the project has been resumed a roadmap is required for the nearest future.

The current release is version 2.0.1 by M. Deepak posted a long time ago. The next release, since the takeover, will be version 2.5 that will feature a slightly refreshed interface and mainly bug fixes as well as have error correction thus avoiding any annoying run-time errors. Version 2.5 will be a very good stepping stone on the way to version 3.0 that will be completely re-written from the ground up. Expect a redesigned user interface as well as a host of new features and bug fixes.
Version 2.5 will be released very soon, however, expect quite a delay between 2.5 and 3.0 as the program is re-written entirely and new features are built in.
Bare in mind that version 2.5 will come straight out without any alphas or betas, however, version 3.0 will see betas released to the public, including the source.... read more

After a long period of inactivity the project was handed over by M. Deepak over to Zhenya to resume development.
M. Deepak has done an excellent job on the application, therefore, it has lots of potential and so development will continue to include new features, improve existing ones and evolve the application into an open source tool for audiophiles and novice PC users alike.
Stay tuned for further developments and changes.

MP3Base v2.0.1 has been released after the project has moved to sourceforge for the first time.

The popular MP3 Database freeware is now Opensource..! It has moved to Sourceforge and all sourcecode and latest binaries will be available here.!
