Hello! Thank you so much for this awesome tool. You just save me a ton of work.

To be honest, I'm just a newbee using graphviz and all their branches. so I have many doubts to be solved yet. Perhaps my request is already an option, but I could not find it.

Currently I'm using Msc-generator version 6.3.8.0 from october /2019.

I'm wondering if it's possible to read the collapsed attribute for subgraph elements from the graph source code, just as is already enabled for signalling charts. (I just read that in the help file in "Collapsing and Expanding" topic)

I know that it's possible to collapse the subgraph once it's loaded clicking over the collapse button, but with a huge graph loaded, this is a terrible task (I attached a file as example ).

Hope you the best and once again, thank you so much for your help ;)

Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,

Sorry for me to take this long to come back to you.
So you would like to have a "collapsed" attribute for subgraphs, right?

Wow, this is amazing!! At first, I want to say thank you for taking my
request. If I had the propper coding skills, I wouldn't disturb your and
for sure, I will contribute to your awesome project.

Yes, the idea is to have a collapse all nodes button into the user
interface. It will be usefull for bigger graphs.

      Thanks again for your help!!

Please let me know if I can contribute in any way ;)

      Cheers, Sebastián

        Hi Sebastian,

There are already Collapse All / Expand All buttons on the ribbon for Graphs, see the attached image. It is on the first pane of the Home category of the ribbon, titled "Graphviz Graph". Note that this pane is different for each chart type.
I admit there was a bug which showing this pane of the signalling chart even for graphs when you open a graph file by clicking on it in Windows Explorer (start Msc-generator with the filename as argument). The pane for signalling charts does not have the Collapse All / Expand All buttons, this may be one reason why you did not find them.

I will fix this bug, in 6.4.2, but until then you can work around it, by first opening Msc-generator and opening your file using the Open... option from them main menu (or Ctrl+O).

        I hope it helps,
        Zoltan
