This appears to be still an issue in 4.0 beta so to get it working - download the 2.0 SDK from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5124 then install that, go to the install directory and see the .dll and .xml file (check the version - should be 2.0.5022). Copy those files and paste over the two named that in the app folder and run the app - export works. The app has a newer version DLL than is required.

Hello, I just downloaded the viewer and when I try to export, I get the following error: Export to Excel Failed to create excel from datasetCould not load file or assembly 'DocumentFormat.OpenXML, Version=2.0.5022.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=blabla', or one of its dependencies. I keep getting the following error message when trying to load a project plan: Error while loading. Invalid file format: MSProject.DocFile.4 I tried several files and got the same message. Most of these files were created about 2000...with what was then the latest version of Microsoft project.

The packaged Open XML DLL v2.5 is not compatible, expected is DLL version 2.0. The solution is to copy the correct Open XML DLL to the project directory. Is there a way to scale/zoom the graphical side of the Gantt Chart such that I can see all of the bars without having to scroll? My objective is a high level view of the project.

Thank you for you detailed feedback. It really helps to maks this project better. Now I have added the ability to view notes. I am planning to add user preferences in future, which would include the abilities as to which columns user like to see, the enable / disable of coloring, etc. Apologies for the very much delayed response.
