Whenever I restore my default profile using Mozbackup,
a lot of my emails are restored as "not read". When I
open my folders a number of the emails are in bold
font and I need to open each folder one-by-one and use
the "Mark as read" command. It seems fairly random
which ones are marked as read or not read. But when
the backup was created, all the emails had been marked
as read. It seems that somehow the "read" flag is not
correctly interpreted during the backup or restore
process.
I do have a large number of emails (my "Mail" folder
is 3.5Gb) going back about 7 years. If this cannot be
fixed, could a check-box be included in the restore
dialog to "mark all as read"?
I have had this issue with every version of Mozbackup
I have used, which goes back at least 2 years and it
is still occurring with 1.4.5 and Thunderbird 1.5.0.5.
I am very happy to test any beta version that might
fix my problem.
