Unfortunately, one week after the release of Image Panel 1.0, flickr has changed its authentication scheme. This way, Image Panel was unable to communicate with flickr.

Version 1.1 of Image Panel has been released fixing this authentication problem.

The MultiMediaBox project announce the release of a new MMBox Panel.

MultiMediaBox is a multimedia application with support for plugins (called MMBox panels). Through the existing MMBox panels you can play video and music files, send SMS, enter in P2P networks and connect to MSN.

The released MMBox panel is called Image Panel. With this plugin you can see your photos in your hard disk, and connect to flickr.com (http://www.flickr.com) to upload and download your photos. You can also search for photos on flickr and list the flickr interestingness photos.

Now MultiMediaBox has a new home page. Take a second to visit http://mmbox.sourceforge.net and check the new look.

A new developer has joined the project. The new member, ivellius, helped in the development of MultiMediaBox 2.0 and will also help in the development of new MMBox plugins.

Some planned plugins are:

- ImagePanel: With this plugin, the users will be able to select a directory and view their photos in this directory.

- LookAndFeelPanel: Will provide several looks to MultiMediaBox.

With MultiMediaBox (MMBox) you can play video and sound files, send SMS, enter in P2P networks like Gnutella, Kazaa and OpenFT and talk with friends in MSN.

Here is a list of changes for this new version.

- Now the P2P panel supports download from multiple sources.
- A new installer was created (using the IzPack software http://www.izforge.com/izpack\). The bugs of the old installer was also addressed.
- A new MMBox Panel was added, with this new panel the user can enable and disable the installed panels and install and uninstall panels.... read more
