The exception occurs when I load up the MIPS perspective.

I'm running MacOs 10.4.8

    I had the same problem (under Kubuntu). So I decided to give a look to the code, and found in edu.ucla.cs.mips.ui.spim.console.spim.spimCommand that it tries to run "spim.exe". I tried to replace it with a soft link to /usr/bin/spim but it didn't work xD

    It seems that this plugin will only run under Windows.
