A working server/client combination is released in the files section. It enables you to communicate with the server if it has an ip address other than 10.0.0.136. (The one used to debug to program).
There are also various encryption and privacy problems solved.
Happy secure chatting!
Today I submitted the C source code to the cvs tree, but it will take a while until the C version is usable as a beta program. The source files contain the functions to fire up a standard windows dialog and nothing more.
The encrytion of data sending over the net is finally finished in the CVS version. It used standard cipher code so that anyone with a packet sniffer will only see nonsense passing by. I desperate need people who can release the code from all garbage code that is in the project.
I submitted a working client / server combination to the CVS. Please download it and test it to death. It has also a very light cryptography standard enabled. Please note that this is a development version and not a production version
If you do not use CVS or just don't want to, please use the RFE section to download any released files and/or updates.
Today we changed the project so that it can handle text and files using the libMCrypt library.
This is a major milestone because the program does not depend any more from its own (slower) encryption library! It is reported to work with all availible encryption methods supplied with the library.
Please note that the server side the application isn't likely to be released to the open. Maybe when the project is outstanding popular. The adress of the server is www.microformatica.com or the IP adress 62.169.66.251.
This the initial release of the Micro Formatica Advanced Communications is here for you to download. Be aware that it isn't likely that it is going to work on Windows 3.11, 3 or 95 or NT 4.0. It is currently released under the GPL licence, but the source code needs some extra modification to be GPL compliant and the source code will be released when this process is over.
