A new version of melodymanager has been released today (1.00.03). This version has some important bug fixes to the login/logout process in the UI and for scanning local music files, so it's recommended that users of previous versions get this update.

I'm keen to receive your comments/feedback/bugs/feature requests, so please contribute if you have time.

Today marks the first full release of melodymanager. The majority of software features are now present, allowing proper usage of the program to index and play your music collection online.

An initial beta release of melodymanager is now available.

A quick run-down of the current functionality is:
- basic indexing of local music files,
- web and api access to this library and other user information,
- playlist management (create, add, delete)
- streaming of music via the network

The project has also been successfully converted to use PHP in the hope that this makes it useful to a wider audience. Development will continue with a focus on the search features, with the intent to expand the system to index remote music as well as local files.
