Install MDG for TRAK

Installation Process

The MDG file (e.g. TRAK_MDG_145.xml) needs to be placed in a folder and then Sparx EA needs to told where this is and the MDG then enabled:-

  1. Specialize > Manage-Tech
  2. Click on ‘Advanced…’
  3. Click on ‘Add’ and locate the folder containing the TRAK_MDG xml file
  4. Enable the plugin by checking the ‘Enabled’ box next to ‘MDG for TRAK

Update of MDG

  1. Remove old TRAK_MDG_NNN.xml file from the specified folder
  2. Add newer TRAK_MDG_NNN+1.xml file
  3. Either restart Sparx EA or
  4. Disable TRAK technology, Click "OK"
  5. Enable TRAK echnology, Click "OK"
  6. Select 'Change Perspective' then 'All' by clicking on the button with 3 horizontal lines on the top righthand corner of the Toolbox

Note

Do not use the Import Technology option under Specialize > Technologies > Publish Technology > Import MDG Technology

If you do this will have to be removed before loading the MDG for TRAK using the 'Manage-Tech' menu item above. See under Notes in https://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/17.1/modeling_frameworks/importmdgtechnologies.html 'to remove an MDG Technology...'
