A new release of mDevInf the Mobile Device Information application is now available.

This release addresses a problem with the display and management of the "id" pseudo-capability, displayed on a device's product_info tab.

If you use mDevInf to edit and extend devices, or if you make use of the "id" capability introduced into the application at version 1.2, then you should upgrade immediately.... read more

A new release of mDevInf the Mobile Device Information application is now available.

Thanks go to Andrea Trasatti of the WURFL project (amongst other things) for his help with the identification of a couple of tricky bugs.

A new drop-down has been added to the Devices tab providing a list of the 20 most recently selected devices.

I also fixed another thing that was annoying me, even though nobody else has mentioned it yet ;-) If you have several devices selected on the Comparison tab and you re-order them (using drag and drop), the re-ordering was lost during saving and reloading. This has now been fixed, with the devices being saved in the order they are displayed, not the order they were added.

A new release of mDevInf the Mobile Device Information application is now available. The new features and functionality mean that it has now achieved version 1.0.

A significant amount of behind-the-scenes improvements have been made, primarily with the introduction of a configuration file to maintain several useful pieces of information.

WURFL patch files in the working directory can now be selected instead of being automatically loaded. This provides considerable flexibility to users with different patch files. Also, the ability to consolidate multiple patch files into a single one has now been included.... read more

Hot on the heels of 0.8, version 0.9 of the Mobile Device Information application (mDevInf) is now available for download. Two bugs have been identified and fixed and two new features have been added.

The first bug relates to the forward-referencing of fallback devices in the WURFL (and patch) files. These devices were being marked as orphans, but then they were not being added back into the hierarchy later.... read more

Version 0.7 of the Mobile Device Information application (mDevInf) is now available for download. This release contains a bug fix for a problem that occurred in the creation of patch files. It also contains a new feature to allow existing patch files to be updated, rather than having to create a new patch file for each session.

Version 0.7 of the Mobile Device Information application (mDevInf) is now available for download. This release is a major update that contains significant new functionality. An editor is now included in the application, allowing:

- Editing of existing device capabilities
- Addition of new devices (actual and fall-back devices)
- Addition of capabilties to groups
