It has been quite some time since the last beta, but Lucane Lucane 0.7.5 (stable) has finally been released. The major addition is the new sharedfolder application, with file history, access rights, ..., available in web & desktop application.

We're proud to announce Lucane 0.7.4 !
Don't be fooled by the version number, this is actually a major release.

The main new thing is WebConnector, a component allowing you to access to Lucane's application through the web.
Other applications have evolved : calendar, todolist, forum, ...
A new Slideshow application has been added.

As we made a lot of changes since 0.7.4-beta, we can't publish a stable release yet.

Most of the changes are for WebConnector. A lot of applications now have a web interface : User Profile, Notes, Password Changer, RssReader, Calendar, and Todolist. Forum and forum admin were already available in 0.7.4-beta.

A few bugs were fixed, especially the one preventing SSL to work.

After a long month of development, here is a new release : 0.7.4-beta.
The new things that need special testing are the rpm distribution, calendar evolutions, and webconnector.

Lucane groupware 0.7.1 has been released.

The main changes are a new todolist application, a rss reader, some calendar improvements and a complete refactoring for the server. Since the latest beta, we added connection pooling.

As Lucane 0.7 beta still had the "Unable to send message bug" (sorry), here is a second beta which will hopefully correct this annoying bug.

The main addition is the new AudioConf application, an audioconferency system using jspeex.

Lucane Groupware 0.7-preview has been released.

A lot of things have changed. We now use maven, have a windows installer, run as a trayicon, and have a dutch translation.
SQLServer support has been added. We create our tables from xml without writing any sql.
A local configuration system has appeared.
On the application side, the main difference is that Calendar now supports public calendars.

Lucane Groupware 0.6.3 has been released.

The new features includes a reminder plugin that reminds you of your calendar event, a LDAP store implementation, and a small enhancement in the administration application. The client leaving with no notification bug has been corrected.

Lucane is a free groupware platform written in Java, designed with extensibilty in mind.

documentation has been updated for Lucane 0.6.3 (both on sourceforge, on cvs, and on lucane.org)
- Getting started is updated for ldap and server/etc
- New Ldap configuration doc
- New compiling HowTo.

Development is going rather well.

* A reminder application has been comminted in CVS. It will allow you to be warned before an event takes place in your calendar.
* The ldap implementation for our store is almost finished. It already works, but the config is hardcoded for now.

Lucane 0.6.3 will be released when the LDAP configuration will be finished.

The JMail administration interface will probably be in 0.6.4.

as you propably saw it, we experienced a few problems with ours servers. CVS, website, personnal mail and mailing lists were hosted on my own DSL line, but since I moved to another place, everything went down. I still do not have any internet acces for now.

Lucane.org was hosted on my own personal DSL line. As I moved to another place, the website, cvs, etc... was down. To prevent these problems in the future, we moved everything to sourceforge. Some things are still down (wiki and a few links). We're working on it.

I'll move the server to another location this weekend. In the meantime, everything on lucane.org (mail, web, cvs) will be down.

I hope everything will be back online monday.

The Lucane project have just released the 0.6.2 version of Lucane Groupware.

The main new feature is the integration of the JMail [1] client. A few bugs were corrected (hsqldb under windows, calendar, ...). The reunion plugin was improved.

Lucane's next big enhancement is a Mail Client.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, we chose to adapt an existing client.

It's integration is going pretty well, the profile configuration system is completely integrated with Lucane architecture, address book is removed while waiting to have a general one in Lucane, ...

Lucane Groupware 0.6.1 is available.

This release adds a basic calendar application (we're waiting for your feedback to improve it!), xml configuration files, a few GUI improvements, ..., and as usual, a few bug corrections.
