Ltxshell is a terminal application for building and viewing LaTeX, TeX
and Context documents.

Changes in version 2.0:

• Synctex.based forward-search and backward-search are now fully supported,

• in addition to BibTeX, Biber may now be used as bibliographic tool

• significant parts of the manual
  have been rewritten. All changes are described in the section Version history
  of the manual.

Short description

Ltxshell is a terminal application for authors of LaTeX, TeX, Context documents and accompanying tools (viewing programs for pdf-, ps-, dvi-files). Ltxshell is open source software distributed under the terms of the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE, Version 2 (FSF).

Ltxshell provides a simple interface for LaTeX-related tools for authors of LaTeX-documents who want to call LaTeX, pdfLaTeX and accompanying tools from a terminal.
For users of Windows, a compiled win32 executable file is provided which will also work on modern 64bit Windows versions. Linux users will compile the executable file from the sourcecode.
